Activities of the year:
Cooperation with the Money Laundering Data Bureau
We submitted opinions and proposals to the Ministry of Finance on the draft of the Joint Funding and Other Investment Instruments and Virtual Currencies Act by the Estonian Cryptographic Association
We organized an event on taxes, where the Estonian Tax and Customs Board answered questions from our Estonian Cryptographic Money Group.
2020
Activities of the year:
In the first half of 2020, the Board of EKRL met with the Money Laundering Data Bureau to discuss control methods in licensed companies.
This was followed by a global pandemic period, which underlined many plans.
In the second half of the year, we started again with our own series of monthly events, the topics of which were the decentralized financial world as well as money laundering and its prevention.
With the new wave of the pandemic, our plans once again shifted slightly, but we still organized events according to which topic was the most talked about at the moment.
2019
Activities of the year:
Continuous participation in Finance Estonia meetings, representing the views of EKL
Continuous co – operation with the Ministry of Finance (consultations;
cooperation; regulatory feedback; response to the STO regulatory proposal, etc.)
Visited the Security Committee, visited KAPO
Communication with LHV Bank, communication with Estonian Bank
Ongoing cooperation with Äripäev (inputs to articles, opinions, radio appearances,
comments, etc.).
Trainings and consultations for various parties
Administration and moderation of the Facebook group “Cryptographic Money Estonian Group”
– As of June 2019, the community group has a total of 6,300 members
– About 900 new members have been added in the last year

Activities of the year:
A legal analysis of cryptocurrencies and an overview of the business environment were completed in February.
Coinfest, the largest bitcoin / blockchain conference in the region.
